SHOP THE POST:
On a super hot and humid summer day, I always gravitate towards easy, light weight clothing. This past weekend we went to dinner with friends and I wrote this (under $20!) romper. It was so breezy and light, it kept me cool in the 100 degree weather with 90% humidity. I found this romper in store and I actually purchased it in a large. I normally wear a small/medium in this brand but it was the only one left and I was in LOVE with the print. I think the only place you can tell it's way too big is around my neck since it ties like a halter, and it doesn't quite lay flat. Besides that though, I don't think you can really tell!
I remember watching "What Not To Wear" on TLC many, many years ago (also, #dreamjob) and Stacy London said "sometimes you have to go up a size, to look down a size" and it's always stuck with me. I think sometimes people get too focused on the number of their jeans or the letter on their label. I've always had London's words in the back of my head and many times it's saved me from passing up on something because I didn't see the item in "my size".
