Style Cubby - A Personal Style Blog in New England: Bright Crop

Bright Crop

Thursday, April 30, 2015

Today's outfit is all about stepping out of my comfort zone in a crop top and high waisted pants! Believe it or not, this is my first crop top (I've since bought a second!) and first pair of high waisted pants. I decided to stick with bright colors and patterns, which is comfortable to me, when trying out the new styles so it didn't feel foreign.

I have to say, I LOVE this crop top. I might have to get it in white too! The cut of it is so fun and I feel covered when at first glance I thought I would be uncomfortable. Despite the low price point, the construction and feel of the top feels much more higher end. I also color how the orange color plays off the print in the pants and matches perfectly. When I purchased these pants online, I didn't realize they were not sewn all the day down. When I first put them on, I wasn't sure how I felt, but they are awesome. The day these pictures were taken was extra windy so they are blowing all over the place but when I was inside or blocked by the wind, they laid perfectly on me! Overall, this outfit made me excited to continue to step out of my comfort zone and try new-to-me styles!
