I spent the week before Thanksgiving in L.A. with my boyfriend and his family. His brother is getting his PHD out there and we rented a house on The Strand in Hermosa Beach to spend the week with him! As much as a I love a vacation of seeing new things and running around the whole time, there is something to be said about a super relaxing vacation with no plans what-so-ever. Which is exactly what we did. We started each morning with a quick run on The Strand and we would end the day with the most magnificent sunsets over the ocean. I kept trying to take pictures of it but seriously pictures do not do it justice.
One of my favorite parts about the house was all the fun things they had, like these bikes! Riding these bikes was definitely a highlight for me. It was nice to ride on flat land with a cool breeze blowing on you (contrasted with the hills and frigid temps in New England!). The last night we were there we rode our bikes to the Manhattan Beach Pier and watched the sunset from there. It was a nice ending since we were greeted by 10" of snow the day we returned!
I planned to shoot a few outfits while we were out there but I was having too much fun relaxing to worry about photos so this is it for my trip to LA!

DeleteOmg you + that bike = too adorable. This sounds amazinggg right now, craving some of that California sunshine + warmth!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Emily! The sun was also one of the best parts, especially with the weather here at home!
DeleteThat bike is the coolest thing I've ever seen! It must be nice to be able to bike all year round. Massachusetts has some really nice bike trails but they're few and far between.
