Weekly Favorites: Beauty

I love experimenting and researching new to me beauty products, most of which I learn from watching reviews and makeup tutorials on YouTube. I try to switch up my products every time I run out to ensure I am always trying something new! It's been a while since I have talked about my favorite beauty products on this 'ole blog (see last favorites here) so I figured it was time to give an update!

Bronzer - Before this, I always used Nars Laguna or Bare Minerals Warmth. I received a sample size of the Too Faced Chocolate Soeil and it's now become my new favorite. The Bare Minerals could sometimes be too dark and the Nars Laguna was sometimes too sparkly for my liking but the Too Faced bronzer has the perfect amount of shimmer and color for my skin this time of year.

Face Serum - I've heard a lot about serum's over the years through my beauty research. It's used in the same way as a moisturizer but is supposed to go deeper into the skin and absorb faster. I picked this serum up on a whim and I'm really loving it. I use it after a shower, let it sink into my skin for about five minutes, and then put my moisturizer on top of it. I have definitely noticed my skin being much more hydrated which is awesome in the cooler, dryer months.

Wet Brush - My entire life I have struggled with brushing or combing my hair after a shower. I can remember being a little kid and crying as my mom used Johnson & Johnson No More Tangles to try and brush it out and ever since it's always taken me at least 10 minutes to get all the snarls out of my hair. That is until I purchased the Wet Brush. Just take my word for it, it's life changing. I can now brush my hair out in under one minute which certainly allows me to sleep in just a little bit longer!

Mascara - Mascara is something that I always experiment with. Every time I run out, I switch it up and get a new kind. I've never really been a believer that you need purchase expensive mascara and usually purchase a drugstore brand. In my last beauty favorites I raved about a high end brand and here I am once again going against my theory and raving about a high end brand. This mascara gives my baby non-existent lashes body, length, volume, thickness, etc. It's amazing and my current favorite.

I would love to know, what are your current beauty favorites?

  1. That serum looks so interesting I may have to try it out! And I'm not faithful to a mascara brand either. Too many options!
